The Balkan countries are in southern Europe on the Balkan Peninsula, a landscape that marries mountains, Mediterranean and multicultural heritage. The Balkan Peninsula is bordered by the Adriatic Sea to the west, Mediterranean to the south, Aegean Sea to the east, and the Black Sea to the northeast. The countries that make up the Balkan Peninsula are Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia. Many of them are still very unknown, but all of them are pretty ‘unbalkanievable’.
