Finland is far out. It’s also relatively flat, fantastically forested and it embraces fairness in society. It’s also quite fierce, but in all the best ways possible. Finland has a concept of sisu at the heart of its culture, which represents an innate sense of determination, resilience and inner strength. With so much wilderness in their northern nirvanas, this is hardly surprising and, combined with their love of nature, Finnish people’s energy and passion for being ‘far out’ is infectious. Especially when you are snowshoeing in the taiga, or hiking in North Karelia on our Finland tours. Fresh or freezing, it’s always fun, especially when the sauna’s fired up. We’re so here for Finland.
