After a career in the arts, Catherine retrained and did a Master’s Degree in Responsible Travel way back in 2007. She spent several years working as a freelance travel writer, always specialising in sustainable tourism and then moved into the world of online content creation.

Always with an eye on sustainable travel, Catherine was a senior copywriter at Responsible Travel for several years, where she wrote hundreds of their travel guides. She then upped a few of her technical skills as a content expert at two tech start-ups around sustainable transport. Catherine is over the moon to be back working in responsible tourism, which is why she started writing in the first place.

Still keeping her toes dipped in the freelance writing world, Catherine is hoping to write a book about Ireland soon. She is indeed Irish, but living by the sea in Sussex, UK after being a Londoner for a long time, and is a single mum to two, now grown up, sons, who are still her favourite travel companions.
