From beginners and enthusiasts to seasoned pro riders, there is something for everyone while cycling in Mallorca. This tour will offer you the ultimate mixture of small Mallorcan villages, vast sandy beaches and vibrant resorts. In order to provide you with the most diverse experience, you will stay overnight in an urban boutique hotel, in a stylish beach hotel, in a traditional finca and in a historic mansion. Experience one of the best cycling destinations in Europe in comfort at your own pace!

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Palma de Mallorca
Today you can take in the atmosphere of the island’s capital. In the evening, you will meet our local representative for a briefing and bike fitting session.

Day 2: Palma – Colònia Sant Jordi | 65km
From the Placa d’Espanya, you cycle by the sea and follow the coastal cycle path to Playa de Palma. Continue along the coast to Capocorp Vell, the Cyclops’ kingdom (remains of traditional houses). Wind turbines line your way to the salt fields of Llevant, where you see the pink-white shimmering salt lakes. Before you reach your accommodation, you’ll find the white sandy beach ‘Es Trenc’. It’s considered the most beautiful in Mallorca, so take a break or cool off in the deep blue sea.

Day 3: Colònia Sant Jordi – Porreres | 55km
Once again, you will love the coastal landscape in the picturesque bay of Cala Santanyi and the famous natural bridge ‘Es Pontas’. As you travel inland things become quieter. You’ll see low stone walls bordering fields. For centuries, the gnarled olive trees in the fields were protected by stately fincas.

Day 4: Campos and the Windmills | 40km
Nowhere in the world are there so many windmills in one small area as on Mallorca. In the past, they were an important part of agriculture on the island. Their function was either to grind grain or to pump water into the fields. On today’s stage, you will pass some very beautiful examples.

Day 5: Porreres – Alcudia/Alcanada | 55km
The route takes you along beautiful paths through olive groves via Sant Joan to Petra. Here a traditional Mallorcan ‘lunch snack’ is prepared for you in a restaurant on the lovely village square. Through one of the most enchanting landscapes of the island, the ‘Pla’, you will cycle to charming Santa Margalida and further on to the coast. It’s not far along with the Playa del Muro until you reach your hotel in Alcanada. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view over the bay with its almost Caribbean blue sea!

Day 6: Alcudia/Alcanada – Port de Sóller | 60km
Accompanied by almond trees, you cycle along the World Heritage site of Tramuntana to the ‘leather city’ Inca. From here, the transfer bus takes you to the monastery Lluc (visit possible) and further to 1200m above sea level. The departure by bike leads to one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, Fornalutx. There you can enjoy delicious paella in a cosy terrace restaurant. Continue through orange and lemon groves down to Port de Sóller, one of the island’s most charming fishing villages.

Day 7: Port de Sóller – Palma | 45km
Breath-taking views of the sea are accompanying you on the last cycling day. You will cycle through the picturesque towns of Deia and Valldemossa until you get to the West coast of the island and the city of Palma. Explore the capital before heading back to where you have started your tour.

Accommodation on this tour includes a mix of small, locally-owned hotels, B&Bs and traditional guesthouses. They have been carefully selected based on a variety of criteria including their location, warm hospitality, fine local food or commitment to responsible tourism. Palma: Hotel Continental 4****
The urban Boutique Hotel is just a stone’s throw from the old town of Palma. The tastefully furnished rooms, with a Mediterranean flair, are guaranteed to suit every taste. The comfortable café or the elegant piano bar promise an entertaining stay. The small wellness area with a jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath provides relaxation after a walk in the city.
Colònia de Sant Jordi: Hotel Honucai 4****
The exotic-looking hotel name is Hawaiian for sea turtle. Subtle luxury is reflected in exotic and
Mediterranean details and offers maximum comfort. It is located right on the beautifully landscaped promenade in the centre of the former fishing village. The open plan restaurant offers excellent food and stunning views of the sea.
Porreres: Finca son Roig 4****
The historic country house, about 5km outside of Porreres, was carefully restored only a few years ago. An oasis of peace and relaxation was created with great attention to detail, while retaining the traditional character. The excellent restaurant is housed in the former wine cellar, where traditional Mallorcan cuisine receives a new interpretation. The classically styled rooms ensure a pleasant stay. After the bike ride, spend time at the luxurious pool in the shade of the lemon trees.
Alcudia/Alcanada: Hotel Can Mostatxins 4****(Season 2022)
Two historic buildings in the old town of Alcudia were connected to create this hotel. Original stone walls from the 15th century, high ceilings and stained-glass windows ensure a very special atmosphere. The carefully renovated rooms create a special symbiosis between their traditional style and modern architecture. A small outdoor spa pool and a champagne bar complete the offering of this gem of a hotel.
Alcudia: Petite Hotel (Season 2023)
This charming, small boutique hotel is located in the heart of the protected old town. The total of only 24 rooms are located in three interconnected historic buildings. The centuries-old building fabric has been preserved with great attention to detail, yet guests do not have to do without any modern comforts. Thanks to its central location, all the city’s sights are just a few steps away..
Port de Sòller: Hotel Es Port 4****
The 17th century stately home is the centre of the Montis family hotel. Immerse yourself in times long gone while relaxing in cosy corners in the historic walls. But there’s modernity here too. In addition to the charming rooms, there’s a large hotel pool, indoor pool and spa area providing plenty of comfort. You can spend time relaxing under lemon, orange and olive trees in the over 40,000m2 garden. In the restaurant, special attention is paid to Mallorcan cuisine.

Meals
Breakfast buffet each day. When no restaurant location is available on the route, lunches and snacks should either be bought from local shops, or packed lunch can be pre-ordered from your hotel the night before. You can enjoy the rest of the meals in the charming restaurants along the way.
Difficulty and terrain
The terrain along the route is overall slightly hilly without any long ascents. You cycle on side roads, rural tracks and also on cycle paths, always with as little traffic as possible. Nearly the entire route is on tarmac (read more about difficulty grades).

When to go
This trip is available from March till June and from September till October.
Departure days are each Friday and Sunday.
Private departure dates are possible upon request, as pricing would depend on the group size.

In case you would like to rent a bike from us, we can offer a different variety of bikes. All bikes are equipped with a combination lock, saddle bag (water-repellent), handlebar bag (water-repellent), a pump and service-set with tools with an extra bicycle tube.
