Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Poprad
Arrive in Poprad. Depending on your time of arrival, we recommend visiting the district of Spisska Sobota, one of the best preserved medieval centres in Slovakia and home to the 13th-century Kostol sv. Egídia church. And also take time to get picnic lunch ingredients for your adventure tomorrow.
- Accommodation: Villa Zauber or similar in Poprad
Day 2: White water rafting on Dunajec River I 8-12km
After meeting your guide at the hotel, you are transferred to the village of Červený Kláśtor (1h), where it’s also worth taking time to visit the 14th-century Červený Kláštor monastery before today’s activity. After a short training, start your rafting adventure on the Dunajec River. The ride is suitable for beginners. The route has two optional lengths: the first starts and finishes on the Slovak side (8km), and the second is on the Polish side (12km). After the activity, you are driven back to your hotel in the afternoon.
- White water rafting: 8-12km
Day 3: Via Ferrata HZS Kysel, Slovak Paradise National Park I 14km
Start with a private transfer from your accommodation to Čingov campground area (30mins) and walk to the beginning of the Via Ferrata HZS Kysel in Slovak Paradise National Park. Using climbing equipment, make your way through Kyseľ Gorge, supported by an iron cable permanently fixed at the gorge for your safety. Please note that this activity is not an easy one and takes a minimum of 7h to complete the whole route, especially on rainy days when the terrain can be very slippery. In the afternoon, our driver takes you back to your accommodation in Poprad.
- Walking and via ferrata for the day: 14km, 7h
Day 4: E-biking in Tatras Mountains I 30-50km
Your guide picks you up from the hotel and transfers you (45mins) to the starting point of today’s trail, and e-bike collection. You can choose between four optional routes, depending on the difficulty level: an easier surface with gentle climbs and longer distance; a more moderate cycle to climb Mount Kráľova Hola (1,946m) in the Low Tatras Mountains; or around Slovak Paradise National Park. In the afternoon, our driver transfers you to Poprad for your last night.
- Cycling for the day: 30-50km, 2-5h
Day 5: Departure
Departure after breakfast or extend your stay.

Hotels are subject to availability. In the event of a particular hotel being fully booked for your chosen dates, we will replace it with a hotel of equal value and quality level. We will provide exact accommodation details to you upon booking confirmation.
Meals
Breakfast is included on all days. When no restaurant location is available en route, lunches and snacks can be bought from local shops. On other days, dinner is available either at the accommodation or from restaurants in the local area.
Difficulty and terrain
This mixed activity tour is rated moderate and is appropriate for active travellers (read more about difficulty grades). During the via ferrata tour you are going to use your hands a lot, and it can also get more difficult on rainy and humid days because hiking trails can get very slippery. We recommend taking gloves with you, either for hand protection or for better grip while holding the iron cable during the climb in Kyseľ Gorge in Slovak Paradise National Park. The trip is suitable for children of a minimum age of eight years old and a height of over 120cm. You are supported throughout the trip by a local qualified guide.
When to go
This trip is available from the middle of June to the beginning of October. The weather is best in July – September. As July and August are the busiest months, it is preferable that you book as early as possible. The itinerary contains routes which are closed to the public during winter and spring due to the protection of nature.
The climate is mostly of a mountain and alpine character, cold and moist influenced by high altitudes. Snow cover in valleys and peaks persists from 180 to 250 days of a year. Windy weather is typical and during summer afternoon storms are usual. For more information visit our blog Best time to go to Slovakia.
