Overview
A six day, self-guided trekking holiday along the Kongevegen, which translates as the King’s Road. This is an ancient 100km highway over Norway’s Filefjell Mountains that dates back to 1793, created to connect the east with the west of the country. This section starts in Tyinkrysset and ends in Borgund and, with the use of transfers to speed things up a little on this shorter break, you get to experience highlights such as the Vindhellavegen through Vindhella Pass, the wide open Filefjell Plateau, Sverrestigen Viking Trail and a luscious circular walk from Galdane. Stay in just two accommodations, this trip is full board.

As Filefjell is a mountainous area, it can be colder than other regions of Norway in the summer. The average temperatures during this time period range from 01-11C, with little rainfall. However it’s important to note that in surrounding regions temperatures can reach 25-30C during these months. There are long days and short nights during the summer in Norway.
