Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Turin
Welcome to Turin! In the evening of your arrival day, you will have a personal tour briefing and bike fitting.

Day 2: Turin – Pinerolo | 50km
You start your cycling journey on bike paths and side roads along the river Po. You should plan time for the rococo palace of Stupinigi which was designed by the architect Filippo Juvarra and was the residence for the family of Savoyen for many years. You continue cycling through parks and along rivers to Penerolo, a town famous for its cavalry school.

Day 3: Pinerolo – Saluzzo | 45km
You cycle on beautiful paths along fruit orchards and vineyards to Cavour with its quaint fortress of Rocca – a hill in the middle of flat landscape. You will then reach medieval Saluzzo.

Day 4: Saluzzo – Bra | 65km
Today you will pass the beautiful palaces of Manta and Costigliole. You should visit Benevagienna – a city with Roman roots – and its archaeological excavations. Afterwards, you continue to Cherasco and Bra, which is the capital of gourmets as well as the founding place of the Slow Food movement.

Day 5: Bra – Barolo – Alba | 50km
Starting today’s trip, you pass through Pollenzo, a city with Roman roots where the University of Gastronomic Sciences is located. The road after Barolo gets a bit hilly, but you can reward yourself with some of Italy’s best wine afterwards. Cycling along the river Tanaro, you continue to Alba (famous for its truffles).

Day 6: Alba – Asti | 40km
Today you cycle in the region of Roero, passing by the palaces of Guarene and Cisterna, where you can visit the local museum. Your overnight stay is in Asti, a town known for its culture and sparkling wine.

Day 7: Asti – Chieri – Turin | 45km
The tour leads you on secondary paths passing by romantic villages back to Turin. You can have another glass of wine in Chieri, before travelling back to Turin by train.

Meals
A breakfast buffet is included. When no restaurant is available on the route, lunches and snacks can either be bought from local shops, or packed lunch can be pre-ordered from your hotel the night before. Dinner is available either from the restaurant in your accommodation or the restaurants in the town where you stay for overnight.
Difficulty and terrain
You cycle on bike paths and side roads. The first two stages are predominantly flat, afterwards, the route gets more hilly. On the stage from Bra to Barolo and Alba, there are also a few longer ascents. In the cities, you cycle on roads with heavier traffic (read more about difficulty grades).
When to go
This trip is available from April until September, departing on Saturdays only. Alternative departures are available upon request, as the exact pricing will depend on the size of the group.
