Overview
When you walk the North Cotswolds in 6 days, it’s a speedy but sublime circuit through the heart of the Cotswolds. The word wolds means gentle hills in ancient English, and when you take on this circuit, starting and ending in Moreton-in-Marsh, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It’s all so quintessentially English, with the villages boasting iconic honey-coloured architecture, flower-filled meadows and fecund markets all just some of the highlights along the way. Staying in a mix of mostly small, locally-owned hotels, B&Bs and traditional guesthouses, this holiday is also accessible by train. As a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty, you’re never short of outstanding on this self-guided walking holiday.
Please note: If you prefer to walk the North Cotswolds at a more leisurely pace, you can do it in 9 days instead.

On 08 January 2025, the ETA requirement was extended to visitors from eligible non-European countries, including Australian, Canadian and US nationals. Then, on 02 April 2025, the ETA requirement was extended to eligible European countries, referring to most of Europe.
You can view the full list of countries that this applies to here and apply for your ETA here, or on the UK ETA app. The ETA usually takes up to three working days to be processed, although we advise applying as early as possible, in advance of your travel dates.
