I love travel adventure and being part of a company that extols the virtues of walking and cycling in different countries. Like many who live in a city I have seen the changes that have taken place, the cleaner air, the birdsong and nature in all its forms responding to a fresher world. Will we have to go back to the carbon industries, the many planes flights, and crowded roads that pollute our atmosphere?
I think it is inevitable we will… but many now will properly consider the negative footprint they are making, especially the young. It is hard to deny them the opportunity of sharing different cultures just because of global warming and economic recession. Homo Sapiens are by nature nomadic and curious. As borders open and restrictions on movement ease some will consider how they travel and what they do when they get to where they are going. Those with the means to travel have to share their wealth with poorer countries and communities. Keep it local.
Our way of life has to change and I hope the recent pandemic will accelerate our responsibility as global citizens. It’s Amore! ... See MoreSee Less
