We are launching a new range of ‘self-guided’ hiking and discovery holidays in the High Tatras Mountains, Slovakia. The High Tatras are a UNESCO biosphere reserve and the highest peaks in the Carpathians range, which include 35 valleys, 110 glacial lakes or tarns (called pleso) and an abundance of mountain peaks, of which 10 are above 2,600 meters.
The High Tatras itineraries in Slovakia offer opportunities for great hiking, with genuinely breath-taking views from the mountain peaks, along with crystal clear ice lakes, waterfalls, virgin forests and also some UNESCO World Heritage sites. There’s overnight’s in some lovely atmospheric, old Slovakian mountain spa hotels and all at a very affordable price. As it’s self guided you’ll also feel a great sense of achievement!
Details on our High Tatras self-guided walking holidays are available here.
