Although wellness and city breaks, boutique hotels and glamping are high up on the lists of entrepreneurial escapes, we have a few more adventurous suggestions for you. If your company is a small one and committed to sustainable practices, you may be seeking a corporate retreat that has a bit more earthiness to it. One where you swap karaoke for cols, and where you have fewer business meetings and more wilderness settings. As a small company, with a responsible tourism ethos, we can help find an adventure that matches your venture. You don’t have to deep dive into any of the details. We’ll action that.
Why choose The Natural Adventure for a corporate retreat?
We are specialists in self-guided and guided adventure holidays, where we create walking or cycling itineraries for you, and transfer your luggage from one place to the other if necessary. We have approximately 700 adventures in over 50 countries and so we have a lot of experience in creating the right adventure for individuals, walking or cycling groups and more. As a small business, we are very competitive when it comes to price and yet we provide a highly personalised service when booking adventure tours. We can, for example, skip a day of hiking if you want to have a meeting day instead.

Top recommendations for small corporate retreats
The following holidays are just a few suggestions from our wide array of adventures. We have selected ones that have enough space to cater for a small group, and with a room for small corporate gatherings too. The base prices quoted for each adventure may vary depending on your requirements and they do not include your travel, so you will need to handle that bit yourself. Same thing goes for some meals, where not everything is laid on at your accommodation, which means that you can spread your corporate coffers in the community. It’s worth noting that they aren’t all guided tours, with many of them in keeping with our independent, self-guided ethos. With these ones, you really need to work together as a team to get to your destination each day.
Gobsmacking brainstorming on the Tour du Mont Blanc
The iconic Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) hike is heavenly, heavy going in some parts and a happy place for natural adventurers. It’s also one of the world’s most famous long-distance walking trails, for good reason. Known as the TMB for short, this circumnavigation of the highest peak in Europe (4,810m) is team building that’s big and beautiful. Our eight day, self-guided walking tour takes on sections of the TMB circuit in and around two of its gorgeous gateway towns, Chamonix in France and Courmayeur in Italy. You divide your time between three-star hotels in both towns, with plenty of time to take on hiking highlights such as Grand Balcon Sud, Val Veny and Val Ferret. A perfect way to have quality time on some of the Tour du Mont Blanc’s trails but also enjoy some town downtime in Chamonix and Courmayeur. Also, if you have a team with mixed levels of hiking experience, this is the only version of the TMB that’s categorised as moderate, rather than moderate to strenuous.

Break out in Bulgaria’s Rhodope Mountains
This Bulgarian mountain range stretches across the country’s south-west corner, its karst limestone gorges and caves, ancient forests and traditional trails creating an adventurer’s arcadia. Hiking in Bulgaria’s Rhodopes is not short on landscape highs, even on a short, five day centre-based trip, where you stay in a traditional, family-run hotel in the mountain village of Trigrad, with complimentary transfers to and from Sofia Airport. With three full days of hiking, your team can take on treks along ancient trails to the likes of Devil’s Throat Cave or Orpheus Peak (1,532m).
Team Tatra in Poland
The Tatra is a limestone landscape of great gorges and great gorgeousness. And a perfect place to take your team activities up another gear. On this six day, self-guided walking holiday in Poland’s High Tatra Mountains, you spend the first night in Kraków, with its celebrated UNESCO Old Town. You are then transferred to Zakopane, where you are based for three nights in a spa hotel. As a gateway town to Tatra National Park, you have easy access to walking trails to the likes of Mount Kopa Kondracka (2,005m) or Mount Nosal (1,206m), both of which you can summit, as well as the spectacular alpine scenery of Valley of the Five Lakes, with beech forests and traditional wooden mountain huts en route. This trip will definitely take your corporate retreat to another level.

Go team wild in eastern Finland
You have three for the price of one on this walking break in Finland, on some fantastically feral forays in three national parks in the east of the country. This is a centre-based tour based in Salmenkylä in North Karelia, with expert guidance as you follow remote trails in all the parks. Koli National Park is best known for its magnificent views, with forested walks up to Ukko-Koli, which rises 347m above sea level and 253m above Lake Pielinen. Tiilikkajärvi National Park has a landscape of sandy lake beaches, forested hills and wetlands, with 21km of trails. Last but not least, Hiidenportti National Park is named after the gorge that cuts through its heart, proffering peaceful paths through old spruce and pine woodland, now protected from slash and burn practices that went on in the past. Accommodation is a small, locally-owned traditional guesthouse, with excellent experience hosting corporate retreats.
Find your team’s strengths in Slovenia
The Julian Alps emerge out of Slovenia like a white rabbit out of a magician’s hat and we think that these landscapes will have a similarly magical effect on your corporate retreat. This seven day, small group walking tour is fully guided, and explores some of western Slovenia’s natural highlights. Treks include the glacial valleys and lakes of Triglav National Park, the iconic Lakes Bled and Bohinj, the alpine town of Bovec as well as the medieval coastal town of Piran. Stay in three star hotels, with transfers between each, all with meeting room facilities, and get your team trip off to a capital start with two nights in Ljubljana.

Move the needle in Montenegro
One of our favourite Montenegro hiking havens is Lovćen National Park, and we have a spectacular five day, centre-based tour here, with plenty of hotel options to suit your team’s needs. The treks on this tour are self-guided, and highlights include taking on the summit of Jezerski Vrh (1,657m) to visit the mausoleum of the much beloved leader and great thinker, Njegos who died in 1851. You could even plan a workshop around his philosophies afterwards, which include a belief in human goodness and the ethical values of folk wisdom. There is also a hike to Cetinje, the former capital where the last King Nikola’s palace is now a museum and last, but not least, there’s an opportunity for down time down at the coast at Kotor Bay and Perast.
