As fine and famous as Scotland’s greatest single malts, this is a 154km long-distance trail between Milngavie, just north of Glasgow up to Fort William. Sometimes known as the WHW, hiking here is all WOW. Our West Highland Way walking holidays allow you to take on the whole trail in one go, or break it up into superb Scottish sections. You can walk it in 10 days, or speed walk it in eight. Although you won’t want to hike the West Highland Way too quickly, as there are so many extraordinary landscapes to take in along the way.
You won’t have too many ascents on the West Highland Way, you definitely have wilderness, with hiking through Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the wilds of Rannoch Moor and the Glencoe peaks. With Ben Nevis greeting you on the final stretch. If you prefer a double to a single hit of Scotland, you can even combine it with the Great Glen Way for a double whammy of wild wonders.
