Overview
For a country that stretches its natural gifts down the west coast of South America for a colossal 4,300km, it’s hard to know where to start when it comes to Chile tours. The famous Torres del Paine W Trek is probably one of the best places, a self-guided five day trek through an alluring and exciting landscape, dominated by three giant jagged towers, after which the area, protected by national park status, is named. As well as the vast Grey Glacier and impressive peaks, this is a landscape of stunning turquoise lakes, almost the same colour as the country’s famous blue lapis lazuli jewellery. It is said that the deeper the colour of the jewel, the higher the quality. In which case, Chile’s Torres del Paine lakes and walking trails are priceless.
