Our self-guided walking holidays in Slovakia cover the area of the High Tatras, Slovakia’s highest mountain range which is the first official Slovakian National Park, established in 1949. There are about 35 valleys, 110 glacial lakes called pleso, and many mountain peaks, 10 of which are above 2600 meters high. The trips are filled with breath-taking views of the Tatra peaks and ridges. Along with its Polish part, the High Tatras have been included in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1993.
